JWU Golf Wraps Up 2009 Campaign at NCAA Division III Championship

The Johnson & Wales golf team finished the 2009 season with a 36th place finish at the 2009 NCAA Division III Championship at the Dye Course of the PGA Golf Village last week.  The course was a par 72 and measured 7,123 yards.

Sophomore Steve LeDonne (Rehoboth, Mass.) was the top individual performer for Johnson & Wales, finishing tied for 100th after shooting a 156 (75-81) over the two rounds.  Senior Dustin Bride (Manchester, Conn.) finished tied for 154th with a 163 (83-80) while fellow senior Bobby Newcomb (Quincy, Mass.) finished in 165th with a 166 (84-82).  Freshman Tim Wolak (Laconia, N.H.) shot a 192 (84-88) for 177th while freshman Zach Stefanik (Pembroke, Mass.) rounded out the JWU golfers with a 176 (82-94), good for a tie for 181st.
