Player Of The Week
Ta'zhon Daniels, Albertus Magnus (Sr.)
Senior guard Ta’zhon Daniels made his mark on both ends of the floor in his lone appearance on Saturday (Dec. 13) for Albertus Magnus as the senior set a career-high 44 points on 16-for-22 shooting from the floor, including 5-of-6 from three, and 7-of-8 from the charity stripe in 36 minutes to extend the Falcons' winning streak to six with a 98-84 non-conference victory over Baruch. Daniels also collected a season-high six steals in the contest.
Rookie Of The Week
Jaxyn Beaudet, Mitchell (Fr.)
Freshman forward/center Jaxyn Beaudet averaged 9.0 ppg on an effective 66.7% from the floor in 24 minutes per game, helping the Mariners in a 2-0 week. Beaudet flirted with a double-double with 12 points and nine boards in a tight 74-73 victory over Rivier, swatting three shots defensively before following up with six points and 11 rebounds in just 18 minutes in a 86-66 win over former GNAC foe Johnson & Wales.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Isaiah Earl, Albertus Magnus - Averaged 22 points per game in a 2-0 week for Albertus Magnus. Collected a 21 point, 12 rebound double-double against Sarah Lawrence before netting 23 at Baruch.
Christian Yeates, Dean - Averaged 23 points a game on 50% shooting to go along with seven rebounds a game in a 2-0 week for the Bulldogs. Yeates had 25 points and eight boards in a close 86-84 win over Fisher before collecting 22 and sixin 27 minutes off the bench.
Noah Beaudet, Emmanuel - Averaged 18 points a game for the Saints in a 2-0 week, highlighted by a 27 point outing in a road victory over Fitchburg State.
Esmer Madesko, Lasell - Averaged 19 points per game with 7.5 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and 3.5 steals per game in a 1-1 week. Madesko notched a 19 point, 10 assist double-double with eight rebounds in a close 82-79 setback to no. 25 nationally-ranked Wesleyan before collecting 19 points, seven boards, five assists, and five steals in a 77-68 win over Gordon.
Abdul Mansaray, Mitchell - Averaged 26.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game while shooting an outstanding 64.9% from the field, helping guide the Mariners to a pair of victories. He opened the week by leading his team to a narrow 74–73 win over Rivier, scoring 21 points on 9-of-14 shooting while adding eight rebounds, four assists, and two blocks in 34 minutes and followed that effort with a dominant performance in an 86–66 victory over Johnson & Wales, pouring in a career-high 32 points on 15-of-23 shooting. He controlled the paint on both ends, recording a 12-rebound double-double to go along with three steals and three blocks. For the week, Mansaray averaged 2.5 blocks and 2.0 steals per game, totaling 53 points on 24-of-37 shooting.
Lence Altenor, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Scored 19 points, all in the second half, shooting 8-for-12 (66.7%) from the field, including 1-of-2 (50.0%) from three, and converting 2-of-3 (66.7%) from the free-throw line in a narrow 68–67 non-conference road setback at Bowdoin College on Sunday.
