Player Of The Week
Remijo Wani, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Jr.)
Junior Remijo Wani averaged 27.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game while shooting 63.3% (19-of-30) from the floor, 62.5% (10-of-16) from three-point range, and 77.8% (7-of-9) at the free-throw line in a pair of conference wins last week. The junior guard posted 22 points with four rebounds, four assists, and two steals in Wednesday’s 91-74 win at Elms, then erupted for 33 points with five boards, three assists, and a steal in Saturday’s huge 99-96 victory over Albertus Magnus. Wani leads the conference in scoring currently at 22.1 points per game.
Rookie Of The Week
Davis Mann, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Fr.)
Freshman Davis Mann averaged 10.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists while shooting 54.5% (6-of-11) from the field, 50.0% (2-of-4) from three-point range, and a perfect 100.0% (6-of-6) at the free-throw line. The freshman standout scored 11 points with seven rebounds and two assists in a win at Elms College on Wednesday and added nine points, seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals in a huge conference victory over Albertus Magnus on Saturday.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Jayquan Kirkland, Albertus Magnus - Kirkland scored a career-high 33 points on 14-for 21 shooting with four rebounds in a close setback to Saint Joseph's (Maine).
Sean Peterson, Colby-Sawyer - Peterson had another career week for a split week for the Chargers. He started the week by breaking the Chargers single game record for rebounds in a game where he pulled down 26 rebounds and added 10 points in a one point, tightly contested game. Peterson followed that by grabbing another 17 rebounds and dropping a new career high, 20 points in the Chargers first conference win of the year.
Christian Yeates, Dean - Yeates averaged 17 points a game with eight rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Bulldogs, highlighted by a 25 point (10-for-15), 11 rebound double-double over New England College.
Cameron Snowden, Emmanuel - Snowden averaged 16 points and 7.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Saints. He had a 17 point (5-for-6) and nine rebound outing in a win over New England College before collecting 15 (5-for-7) and six boards in a close setback to Lasell.
Esmer Madesko, Lasell - Madesko averaged 25.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, five assists, and 1.5 steals for the Lasers in a 2-0 week. He had 27 points (10-for-13), eight rebounds, and five assists over Norwich before going for 24 points (11-for-12 from the line), seven rebounds, four assists, and three steals over Emmanuel.
Mike Strazzeri, New England College - Strazzeri had 48 total points (24.0 a game) with 27 against Dean and 21 against Emmanuel. He was 11-12 in free throws equaling a 91.7% as well going 8 for 8 against the Bulldogs.
Aamyr Sullivan, Regis - Sullivan delivered a strong all-around week, averaging 15.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game while shooting 42.9 percent from the field in two conference starts. He scored a team-high 18 points in Regis’ 75–67 win over Mitchell on January 28, adding five rebounds, three assists, and two steals while playing just 28 minutes. Sullivan followed that performance with 12 points, nine rebounds, and six assists in a setback against Norwich.
Izaiah Shaw-Glen, Rivier - Shaw-Glen averaged 17 ppg (57.1% from the field), 7.0 reb/g, and a block this week for the Raiders. He surpassed the 1,000 career-point milestone during his 22 point and eight rebound outing in the 59-58 win over Colby Sawyer and added 12 points and six rebounds against USJ.
Friedrich Feldrappe, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Feldrappe averaged 16.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game during another 2-0 GNAC week for the Blue Jays, who improved to 14-6 overall and remained perfect at 7-0 in league play with a pair of road victories. He opened the week with 10 points and five rebounds in an 89-77 win at Dean on Wednesday (Jan. 28), before erupting for 23 points—highlighted by the 1,000th of his career to become the eighth player in program history to surpass the 1,000-point milestone—while also grabbing five rebounds in an 82-56 triumph at Rivier on Saturday (Jan. 31). Overall, Feldrappe shot 60.9 percent (14-of-23) from the field over the two-game stretch.
