GNAC Men's Basketball Report: Week 13
Regis senior Russell Rau and freshman Jamir Harvey swept the GNAC honors on Monday after defeating Lasell and Albertus last week.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK Russell Rau, Regis (Mass.) (So., F - Fitchburg, Mass.) - Rau led the Pride to two key victories over the past week, averaging 26.5 points and 7.0 rebounds while shooting 59.4% (19-32) overall, 63.2% (12-19) from three, and 3-of-3 from the FT line. On Wednesday night against Lasell, he scored a career-high 33 points, the third-highest single-game total in program history, on 13-for-19 field goal shooting, including 7-for-10 from behind the three-point line, which was just one three short of the Regis single game record. On Saturday against Albertus Magnus, he once again led the Pride with 20 points and eight rebounds as the Pride defeated the Falcons for the first time in program history. |

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Jamir Harvey, Regis (Mass.) (Fy., F - Robbins, Ill.) - Harvey helped the Pride move into a tie for third place in the GNAC South Division with two key victories last week, averaging 17.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists while shooting 68.2% (15-22) from the floor. On Wednesday against Lasell, he notched his second straight double-double with 16 points and a season-high 13 rebounds as he hit 8-of-12 field goal attempts. Next on Saturday against Albertus Magnus, he shot 7-for-10 from the field on his way to an 18-point, eight-rebound effort, with a season-high five assists in Regis' first-ever victory over the Falcons. |
GNAC HONOR ROLL
Terry Dawkins, Albertus Magnus (Gr., F - Bronx, N.Y.) - Dawkins was a force to be reckoned with in Albertus' road loss to Regis this past Saturday, tallying a career-high 29 points (10-17 FG, 9-13 FT) with nine rebounds, three steals, an assist, and a block across 35 minutes of action.
Ted Weber, Emmanuel (Mass.) (Sr, F - Orange, Conn.) - Weber average 13.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Saints, shooting at a perfect 100% clip from the floor (10-10) over the two games in just 22.5 minutes per game. The big man scored 11 against No. 1 USJ and followed it up with a season-high 15 versus SJC in EC's senior day win.
Aireus Raspberry, Johnson & Wales (RI) (Sr., G) - Raspberry averaged 24.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.5 steals in a 2-0 week for the Wildcats, including a monster 32-pooint performance on 12-of-20 shooting, including 6-of-9 from three, in a 97-64 victory over Rivier.
EJ Day, Lasell (Senior, G) - Day averaged 23.5 points and 4.0 assists in a 1-1 week, highlighted by a 27-point (10-23 FG, 2-6 3PT, 6-7 FT) performance in a 66-63 win over Norwich on Saturday.
Quinton Partee Jr., Lasell (Freshman, F) - The first-year averaged 13.0 points and 11.5 rebounds while shooting 48.0% (12-25 FG, 1-2 3PT, 1-4 FT) in a 1-1 week for the Lasers, double-doubling in both contests.
Ryan O'Neill, St. Joseph (Conn.) (Gr., G - Litchfield, Conn.) - O'Neill averaged 17.0 points and 3.0 rebounds in 24.0 minutes of floor time per game to help propel the nationally-ranked No. 1 Blue Jays to another perfect 2-0 GNAC week. He shot 47.6% (10-21) from the field, 44.4% (4-9) from three, and 76.9% (10-13) from the FT line over the two-game set. The 6-5 guard opened the week with a game-high 24 points to go along with four rebounds in 28 minutes in a key 92-70 victory on the road at Emmanuel on Wednesday which locked up home court advantage for the Blue Jays throughout the entire upcoming GNAC Tournament. O'Neill followed that up with 10 points and a pair of boards in 20 minutes in an 87-60 triumph at home over Dean on Senior Day this past Saturday.
