Offensive Player Of The Week
Brooke Farquhar, Colby-Sawyer (So.)
Sophomore Brooke Farquhar continues her stellar sophomore campaign as she collected five goals and three assists across two GNAC victories for 13 points total, averaging 6.5 points per game. The forward netted a hat trick and chipped in an assist over Rivier before collecting two goals and assists apiece against Regis. Farquhar ranks second in the GNAC in goals (20) and assists (12) for 52 points (third), which puts her in the top-10 nationally at the Division III level.
Defensive Player Of The Week
Hailey Brisson, Simmons (So.)
Sophomore Hailey Brisson scored the winning goal in shootouts against the previously undefeated New England College on Wednesday. Brisson also aided in the stellar defense for the Sharks, where the only goal they allowed was on a penalty stroke against NEC. Additionally, against Elms, the defender scored her fourth goal of the season.
Goalkeeper Of The Week
Haley Bright, Simmons (Jr.)
Junior Haley Bright was phenomenal in the Sharks shootout victory over NEC as she made a career-high 16 saves, allowing just one goal in 80 minutes. Bright also controlled the tempo in shootouts to aid the Sharks to the win. The junior is second in the conference in total goals against on the season with 12.
Rookie of the Week
Jillian Fredette, Colby-Sawyer (Fr.)
Freshman Jillian Fredette had another great week for the Chargers, scoring a career high four goals in an 11-0 win over Rivier. Fredette would follow that performance picking up two assists in a 7-0 win over Regis.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Sara Gardner, Dean - Collected 12 saves for a .857 save percentage in two wins for Dean this past week.
Emma Gragen, Dean - Scored two goals on the road at Lasell and collected one goal in a double overtime victory vs. NEC.
Emma Mock, Dean - Collected a defensive save in a double OT win over NEC.
Makenzie Anderson, New England College - Made 20 saves on the week with a .909 save percentages and 0.79 goals-against average. She made a season-high 11 saves against the GNAC-leading Dean Bulldogs on Saturday.
Lilly Taglieri, Simmons - Scored two goals on the undefeated week for the Sharks. Taglieri knotted up the scoreboard after converting a penalty stroke in the fourth quarter. Taglieri's conversion forced overtime and then shootouts. Against the previously GNAC undefeated NEC Pilgrims, Taglieri made the first shoot out tally for the Sharks en route to the win. Then on Saturday, the veteran booked the game-winner against the Elms College Blazers.
Ariana Komonaj, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Collected four assists in win over Albertus Magnus and followed with two goals in a setback to Saint Joseph's (Maine).
