Offensive Player Of The Week
Kienna Haley, Saint Joseph's (Me.) (Sr.)
Senior Kienna Haley netted three goals in two SJC contests this past week. Haley found the back of the net twice in a 3-0 victory over UMaine Farmington and netted the game-tying goal late in the fourth quarter to force overtime in GNAC play, which resulted in an eventual shootout victory over Simmons University on Saturday.
Defensive Player Of The Week
Lauren Hall, New England College (Jr.)
Junior Lauren Hall led an NEC defense that allowed just two shots on goal in a pair of shutouts against Gordon and Regis. Hall often acted as the final line of defense for the Pilgrims, snuffing out any scoring threats before they could turn into real shots on goal.
Goalkeeper Of The Week
Ashlee Blashock, Colby-Sawyer (So.)
Sophomore Ashlee Blashock had another great week in goal for the Chargers in a 1-1 week as she let in only four goals but made 23 saves, with 12 saves coming against GNAC opponent, USJ. Blahock collected 11 saves against VTSU Castleton, acclimating a 85.2% save percentage.
Rookie of the Week
Ava Markham, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Fr.)
Freshman Ava Markham continued to impress during her first collegiate season by recording three assists in a 2-0 week for the Monks. The freshman forward was credited with the helper on both of the Monks' regulation goals in a shootout victory over Simmons on Saturday and also converted her PS attempt in the thrilling triumph.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Brooke Farquhar, Colby-Sawyer - Would score two goals in a 3-1 win against the Blue Jays, landing 57% of her shots on goal. She would score one against Castleton earlier in the week on three shots, landing two of them on goal.
Shea Cassani, Dean - Collected three defensive saves for the Bulldogs in a setback over Thomas (Maine).
Sara Gardner, Dean - Posted 23 saves with five goals allowed across two games.
Katrina Lee, Dean - Scored four goals in a 11-0 conference victory over Elms.
Kira Geddes, New England College - The GNAC goal leader scored three more goals this week and made one assist for a total of seven points. She scored one goal in a 5-0 win over Gordon on Wednesday before scoring twice against Regis on Saturday in the team's third conference win of the season.
Ava Costello, Regis - Led the Pride to a 5-3 victory over UMaine-Farmington this past Wednesday, tallying three goals and an assist.
Kimberly McLaughlin, Saint Joseph's (Maine) - Posted a perfect 2-0 record while starting both games for the Monks last week. Her signature performance came in a 3-2 shootout victory over Simmons University on Saturday, when she made 11 saves, including eight in the two overtime periods and stonewalled all four of the Sharks' shootout attempts. Overall, the first-year starter logged 110 minutes, allowing just two goals for a 1.09 goals-against average while making 11 saves and recording an .846 save percentage in two games last week.
Sadie Tirrell, Saint Joseph's (Maine) - Came up with a game-saving defensive stop in the second overtime of Saturday's GNAC matchup with Simmons, preserving the tie and helping set the stage for an eventual shootout victory.
