Suffolk's Desai Named ECAC New England Division III Baseball Pitcher of the Week
The senior lefthander was lauded by the ECAC office on Tuesday.

Suffolk University senior Josh Desai (Shrewsbury, Mass.) was named ECAC New England Division III Baseball Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday after being named the GNAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday, April 6.
Desai pitched a complete game shutout over Anna Maria College on Thursday afternoon, a 9-0 Suffolk victory. The senior southpaw allowed just two hits in the win while striking out nine hitters. Desai allowed an infield single in the first inning and a base hit in the seventh as he finished the game just two hitters over the minimum. Anna Maria did not have a baserunner reach past second base in the game.
The win was Desai's second of the season. He is tied for third among GNAC pitchers with 27 strikeouts on the season. He is currently 2-2 on the year with a 4.91 era in 22 innings pitched.
Suffolk is currently 6-10 on the season and 2-0 in GNAC play. They face a full slate of games this week. They will travel to Bridgewater State University on Tuesday for a non-league game before four GNAC doubleheaders in five days beginning with Lasell College on Wednesday.
