Great Northeast Athletic Conference Baseball Report – Week 4

Player of the Week
Zach Boyes (West Warwick, R.I.), Senior, Outfielder, Johnson & Wales University
Hit an impressive .524 with seven runs and six RBI. Went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI in the team's 9-3 win on the road against Mitchell. Boyles tallied three hits with a pair of runs and two RBI in the win against Wentworth. The senior also played flawlessly in the field with a 1.000 fielding percentage.

Pitcher of the Week
Nick Whittaker (Yarmouth, Maine), Junior, RH Pitcher, Saint Joseph's College (Maine)
Whittaker tossed a one-hitter and fanned four in a complete-game shutout effort versus Roger Williams University on Friday. The junior right-hander saw his no-hit bid end when he surrendered a single up the middle with one out in the top of the fourth. He was also perfect in the field completing two chances for a 1.000 fielding percentage in the win.

Rookie of the Week
Tim Beaudette (Uxbridge, Mass.), Freshman, Outfielder, Saint Joseph's College (Maine)
Beaudette worked his way into the Monks' starting lineup over the weekend and hit an even .500 (3-6) with four runs, a double and an RBI last week. He proved to be an on-base machine with a .667 OBP and figures to be a fixture in the Saint Joseph's line-up as a freshman.
