The GNAC Announces Partnership with Officially Human

WINTHROP, Mass. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC)  and Offically Human have announced a partnership for the 2024-25 season. Officially Human’s mission is to “restore respect to game officials and recognize them as authorities on the fields and courts”.

“The GNAC is pleased to partner with Officially Human,” said GNAC Commissioner Joe Walsh. “Officially Human’s emphasis on sportsmanship and respect towards officials aligns with the values that we emulate within our conference. Its’ educational resources provide plentiful opportunities to encourage everyone to show what the GNAC stands for and align its mission to enhance the experience for student-athletes, officials, and spectators.

Founder & CEO Brenda Hilton currently serves as Senior Director, Officiating at the Collegiate level and has spent the last 22+ years working in low-mid-high major collegiate officiating, collaborating closely with the assignors and the officials at the highest level of Division I men’s basketball and football. Over the years, Brenda has come to appreciate what officials bring to sporting events and to value their position as leaders on and off the fields and courts. Her passion for the treatment, recruitment, and retention of officials is well-known around the officiating circuit and her desire to understand the officiating roles over the years has served the world of officiating well.

The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) is an NCAA Division III association made up of 16 member institutions and over 4000 student-athletes across the New England region. Founded in 1995, the GNAC annually sponsors and administers 22 championships, while balancing academic integrity, athletic opportunity and community involvement in an effort to enhance the student-athlete experience.
