GNAC Announces 2022-23 Committee Leadership Positions

Lasell's Alexander, Regis' Roecker
to chair GNAC leadership groups
WINTHROP, Mass. – Great Northeast Athletic Conference Commissioner Joe Walsh is pleased to announce governance appointments for the new 2022-23 academic year, as Lasell University President Michael B. Alexander will serve as chair of the GNAC Presidents' Council and Regis College Dean of Athletics Pam Roecker will continue to head the GNAC Executive Commitee and Athletic Directors' Council.
Alexander takes over for Colby-Sawyer President Susan D. Stuebner, after she served as the Presidents' Chair during the 2021-22 academic year.
Roecker continues in the same role she served in during 2021-22, and will be joined on the GNAC Executive Committee by Commissioner Walsh, Erica Schuling of Simmons University, Dana Garfield of Johnson & Wales University (RI), as well as Will Rothermel from Saint Joseph's College of Maine.
Founded in 1995, the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) is an NCAA Division III association made up of 14 member institutions and over 3,500 student-athletes across the New England region. Each year, the GNAC sponsors and administers 20 championships, while balancing academic integrity, athletic opportunities and community involvement.
