GNAC and Streaming Partner Stretch Internet Announce Custom Digital Apps

Fans can now watch GNAC games
in living rooms using custom apps

WINTHROP, Mass. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference, in conjunction with streaming partner Stretch Internet, is pleased to announce that fans can now access content from GNAC member institutions though custom applications on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire and Android TV

Twelve of the 13 GNAC full members are Stretch Internet clients and those schools' game broadcasts are available on the aforementioned apps.

These custom apps will provide fans a seamless way to access content directly on their televisions with no need to "relay" or "cast" the stream from tablets, cell phones or desktop computers. Users can access the content simply by searching for "thegnac" on the app interfaces on any of the compatible devices, and then downloading the free app.
Using the professionally-designed, intuitive interface, fans can easily view a conference-wide schedule of live, upcoming and on-demand broadcasts, or filter by a specific school.

The GNAC has partnered with Stretch Internet since the 2015-16 academic year, which is when the conference office launched its digital network Stretch also still provides 1080p high-definition video online streaming across all computers, phones and tablets on the conference's portal at no cost to GNAC fans.

Stretch Internet, founded in 2003 and based in Gilbert, Ariz., is the leading streaming provider in collegiate athletics, boasting partnerships with more than 500 schools and nearly three dozen conferences across North America. Known for its world-class customer support and partner-first mentality, Stretch has built a user-centric platform that complements HD video with live data, social media and a host of customizable features to deliver an immersive, one-of-a-kind experience across multiple channels.
