GNAC Men’s Tennis Weekly Honors: April 18, 2011

Christian Hoskey (Norwich) and Collin Hyte (Norwich) have earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference’s Men’s Tennis Weekly Honors.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Collin Hyte, Norwich, Jr., Marblehead, MA

Norwich’s junior Collin Hyte went a perfect 4-0 on the week and helped lead the Cadets to a 2-0 week with wins over Lyndon State and Johnson & Wales. Hyte swept both of his matches at first singles in straight sets and then teamed with Christian Hoskey for a doubles win against JWU and Luis Galvez for a win against Lyndon St.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Christian Hoskey, Norwich, Fr., Saint Charles, IL

Norwich’s rookie Christian Hoskey helped lead the Cadets to a 2-0 week and a sweep over Lyndon State and Johnson & Wales. Hoskey won every game this week as he swept both of his second singles opponents 6-0, 6-0 in straight sets. He also won both of his doubles matches as well for a perfect 4-0 week. This marks the second time this season that Hoskey has earned GNAC Rookie of the Week honors.
