Johnson & Wales Captures 2009 GNAC Men's Golf Championship
Defending champion Johnson & Wales shot a team score of 320 and posted a two-day score of 635, finishing in first place at the seven-team Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championships, which concluded Sunday at Allendale Country Club. 2009 GNAC Men's Golf Championship: Day One Results
Johnson & Wales shot a team score of 315 and has a 10-stroke advantage over Rhode Island College and a 13-shot lead over host UMass Dartmouth after the first day of action Saturday at the two-day, seven-team Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championships, at Allendale Country Club.

JWU Bobby Newcomb Earns GCAA All-America Scholar Award
Johnson & Wales senior Robert Newcomb (Quincy, Mass.) was named a 2009 Golf Coaches Association of America/Cleveland Golf All-American Scholar, announced by the GCAA at the annual Division III National Awards dinner recently at the Port St. Lucie Civic Center.

JWU Golf Wraps Up 2009 Campaign at NCAA Division III Championship
The Johnson & Wales golf team finished the 2009 season with a 36th place finish at the 2009 NCAA Division III Championship at the Dye Course of the PGA Golf Village last week. The course was a par 72 and measured 7,123 yards.

Emmanual College Golf Set For First Tee Off In Fall 2009
In the fall of 2009, as the academic year tees off, the first-ever Emmanuel College golf team will tee off as well. With the addition of the mens golf team, Emmanuel College will increase its number of varsity programs from 14 to 15. The growing athletic department will benefit the Emmanuel College community, and it will attract a wider variety of prospective student-athletes to the school.

JWU Men's Golf Captures 2008 GNAC Championship
Johnson & Wales senior Bobby Newcomb earned medalist honors and was named the 2008 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Player of the Year after shooting a two-round total of 150 (74-76) to lead Johnson & Wales to a first-place finish at the 2008 GNAC Championship.

2008 GNAC Golf Championship Day One Results
Cranston, R.I. The Johnson & Wales University golf team is currently in first place after the first round of the 2008 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship, hosted at the Cranston Country Club. The Wildcats have a 13 shot lead after carding a 307 over the par 71 course. Rhode Island College is in second place with a 320 while UMass Dartmouth finished with a 321 on the day.

The 2008 GNAC Men's Golf Championship will take place on Friday, October 24th and Saturday, October 25th at the Cranston Country Club, Cranston, RI.

Johnson & Wales Golf Wins 2007 GNAC Championship
North Kingstown, R.I. The Johnson & Wales University golf team captured the 2007 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship, hosted at the North Kingstown Golf Club. This marks the second consecutive year the Wildcats have won the championship. Rhode Island Colleges Derek Jensen took home medalist honors with a two round total of 146 (72-74) over the par 70 course that measures 6,161 yards. Southern Maines Greg Mitchell finished in second place with a score of 148 (77-71) while UMass Dartmouth was the runner up, shooting a 622 (307-315) over the two-day event.
