2011 Men's Tennis All-Conference Honors Announced

Complete list of All-Conference Teams

 

Player of the Year- Sean Cullen, Suffolk University, Jr., Medway, MA

Sean Cullen of Suffolk University has been named the 2011 GNAC Player of the Year. The junior combined his efforts for incredible doubles play in the top spot for the Rams, accounting for a 7-1 overall record. Cullen was unbeaten in GNAC matches, tallying a perfect 3-0.

 

First Team All-Conference Singles

Harlan Strader, Suffolk University, So., Marblehead, MA

Harlan Strader of Suffolk University has been named to the 2011 all-conference singles team. Strader was a perfect 3-0 in the top singles position for the Rams, while also playing on the third doubles team, accomplishing a 4-1 record. He finished the season with a combined 14-2 record overall and a stellar 5-0 in conference play.

 

Collin Hyte, Norwich University, Jr., Marblehead, MA

Collin Hyte of Norwich University has received the honor of First Team all-conference for singles play. Hyte continue to improve this season after coming off 2010 as the GNAC Player of the Year. He went 9-1 as the #1 singles player for the Cadets, earning a 3-1 in conference record.

Christian Hoskey, Norwich University, Fr., Saint Charles, Ill.

Christian Hoskey of Norwich has been named to the First Team all-conference after holding the number two position for the Cadets. Hoskey quickly established himself as a top player in the GNAC in his rookie season, after earning an 8-1 record overall and 2-1 in conference.

Hubert Cromback, Suffolk University, Fr., Paris, France

Hubert Cromback of Suffolk University has been awarded the GNAC Rookie of the Year award and has taken a spot on the 2011 First Team all-conference for his tremendous performance in singles and doubles play. The Rams’ rookie from Paris, France finished the regular season with a perfect 8-0 record in #2 singles and #4 doubles. Partnering with Johnson Samander, the pair posted a 7-1 record in number two doubles for the Rams.

Chris Staley, Suffolk University, Jr., London, England

Sean Cullen, Suffolk University, Jr., Medway, MA

Chris Staley and Sean Cullen of Suffolk University have been named the 2011 Doubles Team of the year. Cullen and Staley combined for a 7-1 record in the top doubles spot for the 2011 GNAC Champions. In conference play, the pair tallied a 3-0 record against top conference foes.
