For the second-straight season, a Falcon men's soccer player has earned the prestigious accolade as Zapata is just the second men's soccer player in the history of the program to earn the NSCAA All-America honor. In 2011, former teammate Jamal Howard earned a spot on the second team as well.

The Falcons won their second Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship title on Nov. 3 with a 6-5 shootout victory over Norwich University. With the win, Albertus earned its first-ever NCAA Tournament berth in program history.
Zapata, who led the nation in assists per game in 2011, finished his career at Albertus with 114 points on 31 goals and 52 assists in 80 games played.
