The Great Northeast Athletic Conference is pleased to announce that Ken Nikravesh (Geneva, Switzerland) of Emerson College has been named the 2011-12 GNAC Sportsman of the Year. Nikravesh, a 2012 graduate of Emerson, was a four-year member of both the Lions men’s soccer and men’s tennis programs.
NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Norwich University men’s soccer team held a fundraiser on Sunday, April 29 for the Malia Crushes Cancer campaign for Malia Jusczyk, a 3 ½-year-old, who has a very aggressive childhood cancer known as stage IV neuroblastoma.
Sunday, April 29, 2012 (Newton, Massachusetts) - In the 2012 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) men’s lacrosse title game Sunday afternoon, Mount Ida College (15-4, 8-1 GNAC) ninth year Head Coach Andrew Fink and his second seeded squad captured a 7-4 victory over visiting fourth seed Norwich University (12-7, 6-3 GNAC) for their second consecutive GNAC title win. The Mustangs will venture into their fourth ever trip to the NCAA tournament in a week and a half’s time with their opponent to be announced. The title victory was also their 15th of 2012 breaking the all-time record for wins in a season set back in 2006 also skippered by Fink.
The Albertus Magnus men's soccer team had two individuals earn Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) honors, which were announced Thursday evening. Jamal Howard (West Haven, Conn.) was named an ECAC Division III New England First-Team All- Star, while Stephen Zapata (Hamden, Conn.) was tagged with Second-Team honors.
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (December 15, 2011) – Albertus Magnus senior Jamal Howard (West Haven, Conn.) has been named to the 2011 NSCAA/Continental Tires NCAA Men’s Soccer Division III All-America Second Team. Howard is the first-ever Albertus Magnus student-athlete to earn All-America status.
Richard Mitchell (Naugatuck, Conn.) scored the game-winning goal and added an assist as the Albertus Magnus men's soccer team defeated Endicott College 3-2 on Wednesday afternoon in an ECAC Tournament quarterfinal match-up. The victory marks the first-ever ECAC Tournament win for the Falcons.

Albertus and Norwich were selected to the 2011 ECAC New England Men's Soccer Tournament announced Monday afternoon. Albertus Magnus enters the tournament as No. 2 seed hosting No. 7 Endicott College. No. 5 Norwich will also host No. 4 seed UMASS Boston.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (October 25, 2011) – The Albertus Magnus men’s soccer team is ranked No. 9 in New England as announced Tuesday by the NSCAA. The Falcons move up one spot from last week’s rankings.
Albertus Magnus secured a first place seeding in the GNAC tournament after achieving an outstanding undefeated conference record of 10-0 and an overall record of 14-2-1. The Falcons just edged St. Joseph’s College early in the season in overtime, to clinch their undefeated record.
