Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Report - Week 6

Player of the Week
Danielle Daigle (Dayton, Maine), Sophomore, Forward, Saint Joseph’s College (ME)
Daigle netted three goals, including a pair of game-winners, in a 2-0-1 week for the Monks. The sophomore forward scored the game-tying goal with less than three minutes remaining in regulation versus Mount Ida College on Monday and logged the clinching goals in victories over Rivier University and Maine-Presque Isle on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. 

Rookie of the Week
Meagan Hernberg (Eastford, Conn.), Freshman, Midfielder, Mount Ida College
Hernberg scored the game-winning tally with 42.6 seconds remaining in overtime to lift Mount Ida past hosting Nichols College, 1-0, on Thursday afternoon. Hernberg helped the Mustangs top the Bison for the first time since September 2, 2006.

Goalkeeper of the Week
Allie Altman (Thousand Oaks, Calif.), Sophomore, Goalkeeper, Emerson College
Altman posted a stellar week in goal for the Lions as she put up 220 minutes of action while allowing only one goal to go along with a .950 save percentage and 0.41 goals against average. The sophomore notched nine saves in a 0-0 2OT draw vs. Rivier before making 10 stops in a 2-1 overtime victory over Norwich University.
