Great Northeast Athletic Conference Golf Report – Week 6
Player of the Week
Aaron Bailey (York, Maine), Junior, University of
Southern Maine
Bailey shot a career-best 69 two finish at the individual
medalist at the Westfield State Invitational this weekend. Bailey
was two-under par at the Tekoa Country Club (6421 yards) as USM
placed first out of nine teams. It was the sixth tournament the
Huskies have won this season.
Rookie of the Week
Jonathan Cooper (Berkley, Mass.), Freshman, Rhode
Island College
Over the weekend at the Johnson & Wales University
Invitational, Cooper carded a 160 (77, 83; +18) to finish tied for
10th in the individual play as the Anchormen posted a score of 621
(312, 309; +53) to finish first overall in the eight team
field.
