GNAC Volleyball Weekly Honors: September 26, 2011

Ivana Batur (Norwich) and Destiny Mann (Pine Manor) have earned the Great Northeast Athletic Conference’s Volleyball Weekly Honors.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Ivana Batur, Norwich, Sr., Zagreb, Croatia

Norwich’s senior captain, Ivana Batur, topped Norwich in attack percentage, digs, and blocks.  In a sweep over Lasell, Batur starred with 18 kills, a .387 attack percentage, four solo blocks, and three block assists.  It was the fifth double-digit kill match of the season for her.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Destiny Mann, Pine Manor, Fr., Orlando, FL

Pine Manor freshman Destiny Mann lead the team with a .317 hitting percentage in helping Pine Manor to a 3-0 week, including a sweep of its first GNAC tri-match of the season.  Mann was also second on the team with 26 kills, 23 digs, and 8 services aces in the three matches this week.
