2012 Men's Lacrosse Playoff Schedule Announced
The #1 Lasell Lasers went a perfect 9-0 in GNAC play this season and have earned a top spot in the GNAC Men’s Lacrosse tournament. Lasell notched a key victory over 2011 reigning GNAC Champions, Mount Ida, which lifted them to a first place regular season finish.. The determining game was played mid-season in a close battle, where the Lasers captured the victory by one goal in a 7-6 win. The Mustangs earned a second place seeding in the playoffs after going 8-1 in the GNAC with a remarkable 3OT victory against Norwich in their last conference game. Newcomer, Anna Maria, took the #3 spot after a critical win on the road against Norwich. Taking the number four seed is Norwich, who defeated rival St. Joe’s to clinch the home playoff game.
Rounding out the final four seeds is #5 St. Joseph’s of Maine, #6 Becker, #7 Emmanuel, and #8 Rivier.
The team who captures the GNAC title will be awarded an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Men’s Lacrosse Tournament.
