Swarttz Leads Lions In Dominant Sweep of Regis

BOSTON, Mass. – An unreal night by Nadav Swarttz who hit .692 with nine kills on the night led the Emerson Men's Volleyball team over the Regis Pride in a dominant sweep with a 25-14, 25-11 and 25-12 win on the night. The Lions move to 7-6 on the year as Regis drops to 1-11 overall.

The first set saw the Lions roll out with a nasty .350 attack percentage as a team while Connor Burton floored three kills of EC's 11 while putting in for two block assists as well. The Pride couldn't seem to figure out the Lions serve as well with Emerson putting up four aces as EC rolled to a 25-14 win.

The second set was a showcase for Eric Doherty as a new Lion played a hero in each set on the night with Doherty putting down four in the set to lead the Lions while Chris David threw Regis for a loop again on the serve with two more aces. Coupled with Emerson's two blocks the Lions blew through the set with a 25-11 win.

The third set saw the Emerson Lions kick the doors off the set with a filthy .556 team attack percentage led by Nadav Swarttz's five kills in a perfect five attempts. Three more service aces and four team blocks sealed the deal as Regis held no answer for the Lions in a 25-12 loss.

Up next the Lions will host Wentworth this Thursday night in a 7 p.m. tip-off in Boston at Emerson's Brown-Plofker Gym.
