MEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK
James Vance, Johnson & Wales, Sr., Newton, MA
Johnson & Wales senior, James Vance, took home individual medalist honors, capturing first place at the Elms Blazers Invitational on Saturday. Vance finished the 8K course in a time of 27:28, which helped lead the Wildcats to a first place finish in the seven team event.
MEN’S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Brian Dinan, Johnson & Wales, Fr., Geneva, NY
Rookie Brian Dinan from Johnson & Wales recorded a time of 29:05 over the 8K course to finish fifth at the Elms Blazers Invitational. Following behind his fellow teammate James Vance, Dinan assisted the team to a victory at the invitational meet.
WOMEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Heather Hoglund, Emerson, So., Groton, MA
Emerson’s Heather Hoglund earned individual honors at the Rivier College Invitational covering the 5K course in an incredible time of 21:44. The sophomore from Groton, MA placed first out of 45 runners in the meet.

Allison Polaski, Johnson & Wales, So., Fort Wayne, Indiana
The rookie sophomore from Johnson & Wales, Allison Polaski, notched a 29th place finish at the Elms Blazers Invitational. Polaski finished the 5K course in a time of 23:32 to help the Wildcats to a second place finish in the 13 team event.
