GNAC Women’s Cross-Country Weekly Honors: October 18th, 2010

Heather Hoglund (Emerson) and Danielle Martin (Emmanuel) have earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference weekly honors.

 

RUNNER OF THE WEEK

Heather Hoglund, Emerson, So., Groton, MA

Emerson’s Heather Hoglund has received GNAC women’s runner of the week for the third time this season. This time Hogland finished third of 175 runners at the Emmanuel College Invitational and was the highest finisher (by 15 places) of the seven GNAC institutions in the meet. In the wind and rain, Hoglund ran the 5,000 meters with an incredible time of 20:36.

 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Danielle Martin, Emmanuel, Fr., York, ME

Emmanuel’s Danielle Martin has received GNAC women’s runner of the week for the second time this season. Martin ran 2nd for the Saints and 40th out of 175 runners in the 6th Annual Saints Invitational. The rookie finished the muddy 5k course in 22:32 which helped Emmanuel to a 7th place finish out of 18 teams.
