Catherine Bravo (Johnson & Wales) and Ashley Rey (Johnson & Wales) have both received the GNAC Women’s Volleyball Weekly Honors.

Catherine Bravo, Johnson & Wales University, SR, Toa Baja, PR

Catherine Bravo helped the Wildcats lead to a 3-2 record with three major GNAC wins. Bravo’s 3.17 kill average per set is impressive with a .325 hitting percentage. The native of Puerto Rico has been able to average 3.39 assists and 2.4 digs per set for the week’s matches for Johnson & Wales University.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Ashley Rey, Johnson & Wales University, FR, Miami, FL

Ashley Rey, originally from Miami, Florida has also contributed to the success of the Wildcats. In a week of matches, Rey averaged 5.33 set assists per set and 1.0 digs in each set. One of her most notable moments in the week against GNAC competitor Mount Ida, Rey amassed 22 set assists, five digs and three service aces.
