GNAC Swimming Weekly Honors: January 24th

Devon DeGrazia (Elms) and Ashley Kirchner (Elms) have earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference’s Swimming Weekly Honors.

SWIMMER OF THE WEEK

Devon DeGrazia, Elms, Fr., Westport, MA

Elms College rookie swimmer, Devon DeGrazia, swam to six first place finishes during the week including a new Elms College school record in the 200-meter freestyle (2:16.93) in double dual meet action. This marks the second consecutive week DeGrazia has earned GNAC Swimmer of the Week.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Ashley Kirchner, Elms, Fr., Dalton, MA

Another Elms’ rookie, Ashley Kirchner, has earned GNAC Rookie of the Week after helping pace the Blazers to three victories last week over WNEC, Gordon and Norwich. Kirchner set a new school record in the 100-meter individual medley (1:13.19) and earned five first place finishes over the two meets. This marks the second consecutive week Kirchner has earned GNAC Rookie of the Week.
