GNAC Women’s Soccer Weekly Honors: Sept. 13th

St. Joe’s Jessica Needham tallied the game-winning goal in both of the Monks' victories last week; a 4-0 triumph over University of Maine-Farmington and a 2-1 win over Emerson College. The senior forward netted a goal and an assist in the Emerson match. Needham has been named Player of the Week for the 2nd consecutive week and also broke the program's career record for game clinchers with an 82nd-minute score in the come-from-behind victory.

Lasell’s Jamie Osterberg scored the game-winning goal against Lyndon State for Lasell in the 36th minute, drilling a distance shot for 25 yards out to put Lasell ahead. The rookie then led the Lasers to their first GNAC victory against Suffolk by assisting the Lasers' final goal for the win.

St. Joe’s ME Jackie Lorenzen had another incredible week for the Monks. The freshman goalie allowed just one goal with 10 saves and a shutout in two games last week. Lorenzen registered the second shutout of her young career with four saves against University of Maine-Farmington and allowed one marker against Emerson College in a 2-1 victory.
