PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Alyssa Marchant Saint Joseph's (ME) Sr Wakefield, MA
The Monks’ senior attacker, Alyssa Marchant, led St. Joe’s to a 2-0 week with a total of 18 points. Marchant had a tremendous performance in the season-opener victory over UMaine-Farmington, where she broke the Monks' game record with 13 points and 20 draw controls. On the week, she totaled 14 goals, four assists and 28 draw controls.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Grace Fitzpatrick Norwich Fr Falmouth, ME
Norwich’s rookie midfielder, Grace Fitzpatrick has been a key player in the Cadets successful opening week of 1-1, tallying six points in two contests. Fitzpatrick collected four goals against the Lasers, including the game-winning goal, five ground balls and four caused turnovers. In the game against Westfield State, the freshman added two goals, two ground balls and two caused turnovers.
GOALIE OF THE WEEK
Kelly Last Simmons So West Haven, CT
Simmons’ sophomore goalie, Kelly Last, had a phenomenal week anchoring the Sharks in their 3-0 week. Last combined 32 saves and save percentage of .571 on the week against Anna Maria, St. Joseph College, and Framingham State. Her best performance came in the game against Framingham where she made 19 key saves in goal.
