GNAC Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Honors: March 14, 2011

Kristin Coderre (Lasell), Ashley Slattery (Lasell) and Britney Wuorio (Lasell) have earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference’s Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Honors.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Ashley Slattery, Lasell, Fr., Weymouth, MA

The Lasers’ Ashley Slattery scored seven goals for the Lasers in a three game week. The sophomore went in free possession shots, added 17 draw controls, three ground balls and three caused turnovers.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Britney Wuorio, Lasell, Fr., Bolton, MA

Lasell’s Britney Wuorio is currently standing as Lasell's leading scorer this season as a rookie having scored eight goals and added two assists in three games thus far. The freshman's 10 points were collected with two goals and an assist against Westfield, five goals against Curry in the Lasers home opener, and three goals and one assist against Wellesley. Wuorio also accumulated five ground balls and one caused turnover.

GOALIE OF THE WEEK

Kristin Coderre, Lasell, Sr., Monson, MA

The Lasers’ Kristin Coderre made 46 saves in a three game week against non-conference foes this week, averaging over 15 saves per game. The senior goalie started the season with 16 saves against Westfield, made 18 against Curry, and finished the week with 12 against Wellesley.
