GNAC Women’s Basketball Weekly Honors: February 21, 2011
Mary Hyde (St.Joseph CT) and Jennifer Ruys (Suffolk) have earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference’s Women’s Basketball Weekly Honors.

The Blue Jays’ freshman, Mary Hyde, led Saint Joseph in scoring (17.3) and rebounding (7.7) and made 8 of 13 three-pointers in a 2-1 week. Her performance led the Blue Jays to establish a school record for regular-season wins (18). Hyde scored a career-high 24 points against Pine Manor and had 17 points, seven rebounds and seven assists against top seeded Emmanuel College.

Suffolk’s Jennifer Ruys recorded her first double double of the season scoring 23 points with 11 rebounds in Suffolk's 72-68 win over Norwich on Thursday. The rookie scored 21 points in Suffolk's victory over Albertus finishing the week, averaging 19.67 points per game. This marks Ruys second time this season earning GNAC Rookie of the Week honors.
