PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Annie Thompson, Simmons, Sr., Pacific Palisades, CA
Simmons’ senior shortstop, Annie Thompson, helped the Sharks both offensively and defensively in their 4-0 GNAC record this week. Thompson batted .667, going 12-for-18, with six runs scored, five RBI, two doubles, and a triple, while earning a slugging percentage of .889 and an on base percentage of .667. On defense, Thompson produced a .938 fielding percentage at shortstop.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Catherine Roy, Rivier, Fr., Dracut, MA
Rivier’s rookie shortstop, Catherine Roy, continues to lead the Raiders lineup in hits and batting average, while guiding the team to a 3-1 week in GNAC play. She produced a .538 batting average, going 7-for-13, with nine runs scored, five RBI, and three doubles. Also on defense, Roy was a perfect 9-for-9 at shortstop.

Lauren Beatty, Rivier, Fr., Sherman, CT
Rivier’s freshman pitcher, Lauren Beatty, has had quite a week on the mound for the Raiders, earning two 5-inning victories in GNAC play. Beatty collected wins over Albertus Magnus and Emmanuel allowing only five hits while leading her team to a 3-1 GNAC record. She finished the week with an ERA of 0.70 in 10 innings pitched, while striking out 11 batters.

Courteney Collier, Simmons, Sr., Bolton, MA
Simmons’ senior pitcher, Courteney Collier, led the Sharks on the mound to a 4-0 week in conference play. Collier earned victories over St. Joseph (CT) and Suffolk, striking out 13 batters in 12 innings pitched, and earning an ERA of 2.33. Additionally, Collier batted .556 with 10 hits, eight RBI, two doubles and two home runs, producing a slugging percentage of 1.000.
