2011 GNAC Softball Playoff Schedule
The 2011 GNAC Softball Playoff pairings are now available. The Emerson College Lions will clinch the top seed in the playoffs with an astonishing conference record of 22-2, and overall record of 26-10. The Lions played an incredible regular season, earning two critical one run games over conference rival St. Joseph’s ME in the first double-header of the season.
St. Joseph’s Maine (21-3, 31-7) earned a close second place finish with already a 30 win season under their belt. Simmons (19-5, 23-13) earned a third place finish and St. Joseph’s Connecticut (16-8, 20-16) took fourth place. Rounding out the final four playoff spots is #5 Rivier (14-10, 22-12), #6 Johnson & Wales (12-12, 18-21), #7 Lasell (11-13, 11-27) and #8 Pine Manor (10-14, 10-21).
The GNAC tournament will be an eight team tournament bracket with the First Round beginning Wednesday, April 27th at #5 Rivier and #6 Johnson & Wales, with Emerson, St. Joseph’s ME, Simmons and St. Joseph’s CT receiving byes.
