Simmons SAAC Participates in 2010 Turkey Trot

On Saturday, November 20, 2010 the Simmons College SAAC Committee joined the "Colleges of the Fenway" for a pre-holiday 5k Turkey Trot to benefit the Greater Food Bank of Boston. Simmons student-athletes donated over 100 canned goods for the Food Bank to contribute to assisting families in need during the holiday season.  

The event was open to all of the students, faculty, staff and their spouses/partners and children in the 'Colleges of the Fenway' area.  Over 20 Simmons College SAAC representatives and student-athletes participated in this Turkey Trot.  

The Greater Food Bank of Boston is the largest hunger-relief organization in New England and one of the largest food banks in the country. Simmons College Athletics will continue to demonstrate their support towards the Food Bank in efforts to end hunger in the region.
