GNAC Men's Volleyball Weekly Honors: January 31, 2011

Nick Updike (Emmanuel) and Cameron Walker (Rivier) have earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference’s Men’s Volleyball Weekly Honors.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Nick Updike, Emmanuel, So., Manhattan Beach, CA

Emmanuel’s Nick Updike led Emmanuel to a 3-1 week, dishing out 9.29 assists per set. The sophomore setter also hit an incredible .412 with 16 kills in 34 total attacks, while 1.86 digs and 0.79 blocks per set. Updike dished out a match-high 41 assists in the Saints' 3-1 loss to #1 Springfield.

Cameron Walker, Rivier, Fr., Costa Mesa, CA

Rivier’s freshman setter, Cameron Walker, started all 5 matches this week for the Raiders, dishing out 170 assists (8.95 per set) and picked up a team high 19 blocks and 4 service aces.
