GNAC Men’s Volleyball Weekly Honors: February 21, 2011

Aaron Almario (Rivier) and Spencer Parker (Lasell) have earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference’s Men’s Volleyball Weekly Honors.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Spencer Parker, Lasell, So., Newington, CT

Lasell’s Spencer Parker was phenomenal at the Vassar tournament collecting 39 kills on 76 swings plus adding 20 digs. The sophomore had a game-high 14 kills against Vassar and a game-high 10 kills and 9 digs against conference foe, Johnson & Wales. Also Parker averaged 3.54 kills and 1.81 digs per set.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Aaron Almario, Rivier, Fr.,  Alhambra, CA

Rivier’s Aaron Almario once again dominated the net, picking up 20 blocks in 5 matches for a 1.18 blocks per set average. The rookie also bolstered his offensive stats, hitting for a .421 percentage with 32 kills with only 8 errors. This marks the second consecutive week that Almario has earned GNAC Rookie of the Week.
