Suffolk’s Ben Rollins scored the game-winner in the Rams 2-1 victory over St. Joseph's (Me.) last week. The sophomore also scored Suffolk's lone goal in a 2-1 OT loss at Norwich.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
William Flanagan, Norwich, Fr., Oxford, NY
Norwich’s William Flanagan not only scored his first collegiate goal but made it the game-winning goal on a header 4:12 into the first overtime to lift the Cadets to a crucial 2-1 win over Suffolk. Due to the rookie’s tenacious effort, Norwich clinched a third place seed and a home game in the first round of the GNAC tournament.
GOALIE OF THE WEEK
Matthew Bruninghaus, Lasell, Jr., Plymouth, MA
Lasell’s Matthew Bruninghaus earned goalie of the week honors for the third time this season. Bruninghaus secured an unbeaten GNAC slate on Saturday making six saves against Emerson en route to Lasell's final conference victory of the regular season and led them to a 7-0-2 finish. The junior had earned his fifth shutout thus far in this season when the Lasers defeated Norwich 2-0. The Plymouth, MA native made five saves in that GNAC win.
