2011 GNAC Men's Lacrosse Tournament Schedule
The 2011 GNAC Men’s Lacrosse Playoff pairings are now available. For the GNAC inaugural season of men’s lacrosse, Mount Ida College (7-0, 9-7) is crowned the first regular season champions. The Mustangs played an incredible regular season, going undefeated in conference play and earning a clutch victory over conference rival Lasell College in order to clinch the top ranking.
Lasell College (6-1, 8-7) earned a close second place finish with their only loss of the GNAC season coming to the Mustangs. Norwich (5-2, 7-4) earned a third place finish and St. Joseph’s Maine (4-3, 9-7) took fourth place. Rounding out the final two playoff spots is #5 Becker College (3-4, 7-10) and #6 Emerson College (2-5, 2-11).
The GNAC tournament will be a six team tournament bracket with the Quarter Finals beginning Tuesday, April 26th at the #3 Norwich and #4 St. Joseph’s Maine, with Mount Ida and Lasell receiving byes. The Semi-Finals will occur on Thursday, April 28th at the #1 Mount Ida and #2 Lasell. Lastly, the Championship game will be Saturday, April 30th at the highest remaining seed.
