St. Joseph's Holly Mirabella Earns ECAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week
St. Joseph College's Holly Mirabella was honored as defensive player of the week by the Eastern College Athletic Conference for her stellar performance last week and leading her team to a top ranking in the GNAC.
St. Joseph College's Holly Mirabella was honored as defensive player of the week by the Eastern College Athletic Conference for her stellar performance last week and leading her team to a top ranking in the GNAC. The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) is the nation’s largest athletic conference and only multi-divisional conference, with approximately 300 member institutions and over 122,000 student-athletes ranging from Maine to North Carolina and westerly to Illinois.
The rookie freshman, Holly Mirabella, made 15 saves on the week in conference play including two shutout victories. Mirabella made 10 saves in a 2-0 victory over Albertus and came back with five saves in a 1-0 overtime win against Simmons. The Seymour, CT native had a key save in overtime against the Sharks right before the Blue Jays won the game.
