UMass Dartmouth Holds The Lead After Day One Of 2010 GNAC Championship
Providence, R.I. – The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth golf team holds a one day lead at the 2010 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship, held at Triggs Memorial Golf Course on Saturday. The Corsairs shot of 332 over the par 72 course that measures 6,522 yards. Following closely behind in second place is Johnson & Wales with a team score of 333 while host Rhode Island College is in third place with a 339.

Golf Course on Saturday. The Corsairs shot of 332 over the
par 72 course that measures 6,522 yards. Following closely
behind in second place is Johnson & Wales with a team score of
333 while host Rhode Island College is in third place with a
339.
The lone individual was Ebb Walton from St. Joseph’s of Maine
with a 78. There was a three-way tie for second with UMass
Dartmouth’s Matt Connolly, Johnson & Wales’ Steve
LeDonne and Rhode Island College’s Kyle Harper each carding
79’s. Rounding out the top five was Joe Connor from
Johnson & Wales who shot an 80 over the first 18 holes.
The second and final round of the GNAC Championship will take place
on Sunday, October 31st starting at 10:00 a.m. The winner
will receive the conference’s automatic bid to the 2011 NCAA
Division III Championship.
