Suffolk’s Danny Lloyd Earns ECAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week

Suffolk’s Danny Lloyd was honored as offensive player of the week by the Eastern College Athletic Conference for his spectacular performance last week and leading his team to a current tied third place ranking in the GNAC. The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) is the nation’s largest athletic conference and only multi-divisional conference, with approximately 300 member institutions and over 122,000 student-athletes ranging from Maine to North Carolina and westerly to Illinois.\

The junior midfielder, Danny Lloyd, led the Rams offense in two Great Northeast Athletic Conference victories. Earlier in the week, Lloyd scored a hat trick to pull Suffolk ahead of rival Emerson. The three goals put the Rams over the Lions in a second half comeback 6-4 victory. Lloyd continued his streak later in the week to score another hat trick and added an assist in Suffolk’s 9-2 win over Rivier. For the week he totaled six goals and three assists bringing him to 15 points.
