Two GNAC Women’s Basketball Players Named to D3 Hoops.com All-Region Team
Christine Daniels and Olivia DiNucci have been named to the 2011 D3hoops.com All-Region Team.
Norwich's senior forward Christine Daniels (Concord, NH) was named to the D3hoops.com All-Region 3rd team. Daniels led Norwich in scoring on the season collecting a career total of 1,149 points. She has also totaled 946 career rebounds (9.0 rebounds per game) which ranked her 5th in NCAA D.III, while tying the GNAC record for 380 single-season rebounds. Adding to her list of accomplishments, Daniels topped the NCAA D.III statistics this season after earning 26 consecutive “double-doubles” for averaging 17.1 points per game and 14.6 rebounds per game. Daniels took home four GNAC Player of the Week honors this season, the 2011 GNAC Player of the Year award and was also named to the GNAC First Team All-Conference.
Emerson's sophomore Olivia DiNucci (Pittsburgh, PA) was named to the D3hoops.com All-Region 4th team. DiNucci led the GNAC in three-pointers this season, making 75 of 185 attempted. She holds the top ranking for three-point shots made per game, second in three-point field goal percentage and scored double digits in all but one GNAC game this season. DiNucci was the only sophomore honored to the GNAC First-Team All-Conference for the 2011 season.
