Albertus Men's Soccer Earns ECAC Tournament Bid
New Haven, CT - The Albertus Magnus College Men's Soccer team was selected to compete in the 2010 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Men's Soccer Championship as a fifth seed on Wednesday at 6:00 pm against fourth seeded Brandeis University. The Falcons who lost in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship to Suffolk University 2-1 on Saturday, will look to add to their already record breaking season.
Albertus ended the regular season 13-4-1, 6-2-1 GNAC while finishing second in league play and setting a program record for regular season wins with 13. The Falcons defeated St. Joseph's College (ME) 2-0 and Norwich University 4-0 to advance to the GNAC Finals before falling to Suffolk University 2-1. Fifth seeded Albertus (15-5-1) will travel to Waltham, MA to take on fourth seeded Brandeis University (9-7-1) with a 6:00 pm kick-off.
