GNAC Cross-Country Weekly Honors: Sept. 13th

Abdi Ibrahim (Emmanuel), Heather Hoglund (Emerson), Danielle Martin (Emmanuel), and Brendan Stackhouse (Lasell) have all earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference’s Cross-Country Weekly Honors.

Abdi Ibrahim (Emmanuel), Heather Hoglund (Emerson), Danielle Martin (Emmanuel), and Brendan Stackhouse (Lasell) have all earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference’s Cross-Country Weekly Honors.

 

MEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK

Abdi Ibrahim, Emmanuel, Jr., E.Boston, MA

Emmanuel’s Abdi Ibrahim won the 6th Annual Lt. Travis Fuller Invitational on Saturday and led Emmanuel to a victory. The GNAC consecutive Runner of the Week finished 1st out of a total of 87 runners and also set a new course record with a time of 25:35 in the five mile race.

 

MEN’S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Brendan Stackhouse, Emerson, Fr., North Monmouth, ME

Emerson’s Brendan Stackhouse earned a fifth place finish at Lt. Travis Fuller Invitational at Massachusetts Maritime Academy out of 81 runners. Stackhouse set a 5:27 mile pace in the 8K course crossing the finish line at 27:11.

 

WOMEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK

Heather Hoglund, Emerson, So., Groton, MA

Emerson’s Heather Hoglund finished second of 101 runners with a 6:14 mile pace throughout the Lt. Travis Invitational 5k course. Hoglund was the top GNAC finisher of the five GNAC teams involved in the race.

 

WOMEN’S ROOKIE OF WEEK

Danielle Martin, Emmanuel, Fr., York, ME

Freshman Danielle Martin finished 3rd for Emmanuel and 10th overall at the 6th Annual Lt. Travis Fuller Invitational on Saturday at Mass. Maritime. Martin earned her collegiate career-best time of 20:21 helped lead Emmanuel to a team championship in this meet.
