Norwich's Christine Daniels and Laurel McWilliams Participate in NEWBA Senior Classic

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The New England Women’s Basketball Association (NEWBA) 2011 Senior Classic was held Saturday at 1 p.m. on the campus of Western New England College in Springfield, Mass.

Twenty-two senior women’s basketball players from the New England region were named to play in this All-Star game, including Christine Daniels and Laurel McWilliams of Norwich University.

Both Norwich players were on the “home” team for the game and each played approximately one-half of the contest. For the game, McWilliams reached double-figures with ten points and Daniels hit the board with four points.

At half-time of the contest, the NEWBA New England Region awards were introduced and recognized. During this time, Daniels received recognition for achieving the NEWBA All-Region Second Team for the 2010-11 season.
