Williams’ Record Week Earns Him a Spot on D3Hoops Team of the Week

 

Williams had a phenomenal performance against Johnson & Wales, hitting on 89% (16-18) of his shots from the floor, 75% (3-4) from distance, and 80% (8-10) from the foul line to reach Lasell’s all-time record for points in a game.  The junior forward also produced 14 rebounds, handed out three assists, made three steals and swatted two blocks in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) battle. 

 

On Thursday, Williams scored 24 points and collected 13 boards against Norwich University, also in GNAC play.  Additionally, he dished out three helpers, picked up three steals, and made two blocks.

 

Over the course of the week, Williams shot 69.3% from the field, 57.1% from downtown, and 81.2% from the stripe. 

 

This is Williams’ second national honor from D3Hoops during the 2010-2011 season, having been selected previously during week 4 (Dec.15) of competition.  Last week, Williams was chosen as the GNAC and ECAC DIII New England Player of the Week.
