Dan Sgrigneri Named Albertus Magnus Men's Cross Country Coach
New Haven, CT - Albertus Magnus College Director of Athletics Michael Spinner has announced the hiring of Dan Sgrigneri as Head Men's Cross Country Coach. Sgrigneri, who currently works as a teacher at Hamden Middle School, is an avid runner with a passion for the sport of Cross Country.
"I am very excited to welcome Dan to the Albertus Magnus Athletics community. During the interview process, Dan made it clear that building a top-notch Men's Cross Country program is something he is very enthusiastic about, and I believe he has the energy and know-how to do a terrific job here. This move comes at the right time for us. Mitch Oliver did an outstanding job running the Men's Cross Country program, but this will allow Mitch to continue his exhaustive efforts to retain a championship-level Men's Basketball program, and open a new era for Men's Cross Country."
A 2002 graduate of Southern Connecticut State University, Sgrigneri holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology. He currently resides in North Haven, CT.
