GNAC Well-Represented at NCAA Commissioners and SIDs Meeting

Three Great Northeast Athletic Conference representatives; Conference Commissioner Joe Walsh, Sports Information Director Tom Humphreys, and Director of Conference Communications Wole Oke attended the NCAA Division III Commissioners and Sports Information Directors Meeting in Indianapolis, Ind.

The Division III Commissioners meeting is a biennial conference held in the month of June. In support of NCAA Strategic Plan Association-Wide Goal 1 and the objective to enhance the leadership role of athletics administrators and increase the role of coaches as advocates for the values of intercollegiate athletics, this event provides an opportunity for conference commissioners to assemble and discuss governance issues and Division III hot topics.

During the conference, administrators discussed a variety of topics such as diversity and inclusion, NCAA legislative issues, governance, championships, officiating, Division III branding and the changing face of the media.
