2010 GNAC Baseball Tournament Bracket Release; Suffolk Earns Top Spot

The reigning 2009 GNAC tournament champion, Suffolk University (13-1, 19-13) clinched first place with an outstanding conference record. The Rams suffered only one loss in conference play to second seeded St. Joseph’s ME.

St. Joseph’s College (ME) earned a second place finish with a conference record of 11-3, and an overall record of 28-10. The Monks gave the Rams their only conference loss of the regular season and have battled for the top place in the conference the past two seasons.

Johnson & Wales earned their third place seeding with a conference record of 8-6 and an overall record of 13-26. The Wildcats had a huge win at home against second seeded St. Joseph’s Maine to deliver the Monks one of their three losses in the conference.

The top two teams in the six team tournament each receive a bye through single elimination. Rounding out the final three spots in the GNAC tournament are #4 Emerson (7-7, 14-18), #5 Norwich (5-9, 8-27) and #6 Lasell (5-9, 6-25).
