NECVA COMMISSIONER MICHAEL J. RICCIARDI (1957-2010)

 MAHWAH, NJ: The North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) and Ramapo College are mourning the sudden passing on March 21, 2010 of NECVA Commissioner and Hall of Famer Michael J. Ricciardi, the Director of Athletics at Ramapo.

Ricciardi (1957-2010), the league's commissioner since its inception in 1995, is among the most influential individuals in the history of NCAA Division III men's volleyball. He leaves behind a wife Anna Marie, and their two children Michael Jr. and Christina, along with countless friends and colleagues.

The GNAC extends our thoughts and prayers to the Riccardi family.  "Mike was truly a gentleman and a wonderful friend to all. We will miss him dearly", said GNAC Commissioner Joe Walsh.
