Norwich Selected First in GNAC Men’s Soccer Preseason Poll

Norwich earned the top spot in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Preseason Men's Soccer Coaches Poll, the conference office announced on Wednesday. The Cadets captured the 2008 GNAC championship after posting an 18-3-1 overall record and 8-0-1 GNAC record.

Lasell was second behind Norwich with 57 points and two first-place votes, followed by Saint Joseph's (Maine), Mount Ida and Johnson and Wales to round out the top five. Emerson was sixth, while Suffolk and Albertus Magnus filled the final two spots.

Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own teams.
