GNAC Men’s Volleyball Weekly Honors: March 21, 2011
Curtis Abram (Emmanuel) and Andrew Glenn (Lasell) have earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference’s Men’s Volleyball Weekly Honors.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Curtis Abram, Emmanuel, Sr., San Luis Obispo, CA
Emmanuel’s Curtis Abram averaged 4.47 kills and 1.13 aces per set this week, while hitting .447. The senior outside hitter broke Emmanuel's single-season service ace record this week, as he now has 91 aces this season. Abram led the Saints to a 3-1 week, which included notching 27 kills vs. #8 Baruch College.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Andrew Glenn, Lasell, Fr., Westport, CT
Lasell’s Glenn had another outstanding week for the Lasers. As a freshman, he posted his 1,000th career assist, which earned him a spot on the JWU Invitational All-Tournament team. Glenn averaged 36.5 assists per contest, 9.125 assists per set, and 1.75 digs per set. Also he had a double-double against New Jersey City where he totaled 41 assists and 12 digs. This marks the fourth time this season and second consecutive week that Glenn has earned GNAC Rookie of the Week honors.
